Mary Mercier, DDS
Since a young age, she has had an interest in dentistry, which led her to complete a dental exploratory program for high school students through Creighton Dental School. She officially started her dental career as a dental assistant for 4 years in college before earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
She went on to complete an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO. During her 4 years of active-duty service with the U.S. Air Force, Dr. Mercier practiced at bases in Turkey and Germany where she led programs for forensic dentistry, infection control, access to care for remote detachments across Europe, and dental care for special duty patients related to nuclear surety.
She has been recognized with multiple honors, including two Humanitarian Service Awards and the Air Force Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service, reflecting both her clinical excellence and her commitment to serving others. With expertise ranging from oral surgery to CAD/CAM technology, she combines advanced science with a compassionate approach.
Dr. Mercier was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, so she enjoys cheering on the Cornhuskers. She has been involved in both local and international outreach providing care through Clinic of the Heart and completing a dental mission to Honduras. In her free time, she has some very well-rounded hobbies including traveling, skiing, riding motorcycles, sailing, playing the drums, and horseback riding.
