Dental Crowns & Bridges

Dental crowns or a dental bridge can be one of the most effective solutions to restore the appearance and function of a person missing a tooth.

When it comes to successful dental treatments utilizing a crown or a bridge, every step of the process is critically important. At Branin Center for Dentistry, we understand that. It is why we utilize some of the best dental labs in the country to fabricate our crowns and bridges. We ensure the finest materials, the perfect shape and amazing accurate color.

Our doctors have trained extensively in crown placement and takes time to address fine details like making sure they are set under the gumline, to make them unnoticeable.

What is the difference between a dental crown and a bridge?

A dental crown is essentially a cap used to mimic the look and function of a natural tooth. A crown is placed over the visible part of a tooth, above the gum line.

A dental bridge literally bridges the gap created by a missing tooth or teeth. A bridge uses the natural teeth or implants on either side of the gap to act as the anchors for the bridge. These anchor teeth serve as support for the false tooth that bridges the gap between them.

Advantages of dental crowns and bridges:

  • They protect teeth from further damage
  • Restore the look and function of a natural tooth
  • When cared for properly, crowns and bridges can last upwards of 15 years
  • Often less expensive than implants
  • Mimic the look and feel of natural teeth
  • Revitalize your smile

Will my dental insurance cover my dental crown or bridge?

Most dental insurances classify crowns and bridges as a "major service". If you have held your insurance for between 6-12 months, your dental insurance may cover you for a percentage or a certain dollar amount of your treatment.

However, often they have exclusions that say things like damage to teeth caused by natural wear would not be covered. These exclusions, combined with the annual maximums we see in many policies could lead to uncovered costs.

If you are facing any of the following challenges, we can help!

  • Decayed or weakened teeth
  • Broken or worn-down teeth
  • Misshapen or discolored teeth
  • Covering dental implants
  • Enhancing your smile
  • Holding a dental bridge in place

Dental crowns and bridges are an effective solution for replacing the structure, function, and esthetics of damaged or missing teeth. At Branin Center for Dentistry, our skill and technology make both crowns and bridges a safe and reliable smile restoration treatment.

Cosmetic Questionnaire

  • My initial consultation started with Dr. Dudley who suggested that Invisalign was a less invasive option that we should consider. We talked about outcomes and expectations and thoroughly explained the process. The results were beyond my expectations. I have a smile that didn’t compromise any of my natural teeth.
